Reading Improvement Plan-
Reading which is the most essential element of success, is a very important part of our curriculum. Every kid is put through a rigorous reading improvement plan to clear the basic mistakes that come through MTI (Mother Tongue Influence) .
Vocabulary and Language skills are worked upon through a systematic approach throughout the academic year.
Happy Parent Project:
A 10 point instructional project is given to every Class Incharge. The objective is to teach values and obligations that a child needs to fulfill at home from the perspective of a parent. As we strongly believe in happiness as a virtue, children are trained to radiate happiness all around them through their actions.
IHW Program: (Impeccable Handwriting Program)
A 7-Level handwriting improvement program is implemented for every staff and student entering the institution, namely Impeccable Handwriting Project. Here at St. John’s we treat impeccable handwriting as an asset of our personalities.
Bridge Courses:
Every New student is put through a bridge course consisting of basic subjects and Spoken English so as to bring him/her to the level of International Academic Instructions being given in our classrooms.
Home-work Program:
The Home-work policy of St. John’s contributes to the happy learning of the kids by a very big margin. Here, HW starts a day before the lesson is taught. St. John’s believes the purpose of homework should be to practice, reinforce, or apply acquired skills and knowledge. We also believe as research supports that moderate assignments completed and done well are more effective. Homework contributes toward building responsibility, self-discipline, and lifelong learning habits. It is the intention of our staff to assign relevant, challenging, meaningful, and purposeful homework assignments that reinforce classroom learning objectives.
Snap Test Program:
Every Saturday is SNAPTEST Day where a group of subjects taught during the week is tested. Marks of these tests is used to assess each child to see if his/her weekly learning benchmarks have been met. Students academic performance is data analysed and is used in the decision making process. Awards and Remedial classes are in place to keep the performances in check.
ELITE Program:
English Language Innovation Training & Enhancement Program is being implemented in every dimension of instructions and activity in the premises.
Every student from Grade I to XII is involved in the ELITE Program through duties and leadership where student subconsciously imbibe advanced English communication skills.
IELTS Program:
Everyone is aware of the importance and role of English Language in Higher Education. Hence every Child from Grade I to XII have one IELTS class everyday. Every Friday, IELTS test is taken to band the students in their acquisition of English as per international standards. We pride in children directly being able to ace the IELTS test right after school.
Saturday Activity Program:
Saturdays are meant to be Activity days or simply put ‘No-Bag Saturdays’. Children at St. John’s both fear and love Saturdays. Fear because of Snaptest every Satuday and Love because after the snaptest, children have various activities like - Interhouse Tournaments, Interclass competitions and academic and non academic extempores.
Weekly Feedback Program:
A feedback form is sent to every parent every Saturday to collect their feedback from home to assess the behavioral modifications. The
